Reviewing 2016
Exciting prospects for 2017

A gift for you

Can you believe it’s been 7 years since Scribble Ink was founded? In that time, newborns have made it to junior school, man (and woman alike) has reached a new life cycle and I’ve become a grown-up…ish.

"There is a natural release of energy every 7 years which encourages you to move forward and make changes.” innerself.com

However ethereal you find this concept, the writers’ revelation revolution is evidence of its truth. The following recap of 2016 will make you a believer.

We Had a Sensational 2016!

The Scribble Online dashboard hosts a catalogue of thriving creative writing nano courses. I’d hoped that by the end of 2016 Scribble would reach a target of 80 students in the UK and USA, but I’m pleased to say we’ve exceeded that target with 111 students across 14 countries!

The new Scribble-skype webpage enables writers to view Scribble Ink’s monthly calendar, book a consultation, sign a submission release form and drop 15 pages of written work for a pre-read within seconds. Client satisfaction is through the roof, as is evidenced by the latest success story, covering loyal Scribble Inker, Jonell’s remarkable accomplishments on-screen. Read more about Jonell's achievements on the SBloghetti page.

Not only does the new Scribble Nation webpage have all the widgets its Scribble-skype sister enjoys, it’s also birthed some fantastic projects in community groups, colleges and universities. More information about these adventures can be found on the SBloghetti page. I’ll be hosting a few Scribble Nation workshops with charities and organisations in London as part of a literacy development outreach programme. We’re still ironing out details, and I look forward to sharing them with you throughout 2017.

November 2016 saw the pilot of Scribble's Scholarship Programme — an initiative launched to give passionate and creative 16+'s a taste of the writers' revelation revolution. Successful applicants are awarded a scholarship worth £500. Once enrolled, they have exclusive membership to a private scholarship hub, granting them free access to all Scribble Online nano courses and eBooks, as well as up to 6 Skype consultations for up to 3 months. At the end of the programme, learners will have at least two internationally recognised certificates of completion and a portfolio of work documenting the development of their literature.  Further, they will receive support in marketing their work on Scribble Ink’s main website, social sites and online sites of their choice. Finally, follow-up support will be given through the alumni programme, which includes marketing, publishing and freelancing guidance, alumni goodies and discounts on Scribble's annual membership scheme for an additional year!

Exciting Prospects for 2017!
  • Scribble’s New Video: My dear friend Alex and I have been working on a short animation for the Scribble Ink homepage. I cannot wait to reveal the final product to you, but in the meantime, check out Alex’s youtube channel so you can get a real feel for the animation style we’re going for.
  • The New Campus Licence Initiative: If you’d like to run your own writing programme with support from Scribble resources, you can access a combination of eCourses and a Scribble-skype consultation and other treats at wholesale prices, as well as an exclusive workshop leader toolkit. Email info@scribbleink.com for more information.
  • A new Scribble Online Nano Course: All current nano courses have 4-5 star ratings, and this new one promises to be just as successful. ‘Story Structure: Exploring the Famous Five’ is the 4th nano in the Scribble Online series. Explore the five fundamental elements of storytelling and familiarise yourself with great writing tips from John Yorke's 'Into the Woods: How Stories Work and Why We Tell Them'. Use the creative writing exercises, quizzes and resources to support you in the development of your work. More information about Scribble Online, including course outlines and student entitlements are available on the webpage.
